Description:
Playmaker’s Passing Camp is designed to enhance an players passing skills, build basketball IQ and develop decision making ability for players at all positions. Players will improve their passing and playmaking skills through a series of drills that help develop a players overall court vision and awareness.
Training Focus’s:
· Playmaking Fundamentals: During this camp, players will work on precision passing, advanced ball handling, ball control, decision making, and staying composed under defensive pressure. Players will learn how reduce turnovers and find the open man in situations such as: aggressive man to man defense, press defense, and close game moments.
· Types of passes: We will be teaching a variety of passes and when to use them such as: chest/bounce passes, lead/pocket passes, entry passes, and wrap passing.
· Film Study: Each day camp will start with showing highlights of playmaking at the highest levels of basketball. Players will focus on reading the defenses and identifying opportunities to use the pick and roll and screens to shake defenders and find the open man.
· Competition: Players will also compete in 2 v 2 and 3 v 3 games to refine the skills they have learned throughout the week.
